The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro is pleased to announce the opening of the art exhibition “Bridges Through Sound” by Marko Gošović, which will take place on March 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the co-working space on the ground floor of STP.
The exhibition is the practical component of Marko Gošović’s doctoral dissertation titled “Montenegrin Bridges – Structures and Sound,” carried out at the Faculty of Arts, University of Donja Gorica (UDG), within the Doctoral Research Scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of Montenegro in 2020.
“Bridges Through Sound” is a work based on the interactive combination of LED installations and sound, aiming to give Montenegrin bridges not only a visual but also a sonic structure. The installation features six illuminated LED installations representing Montenegrin bridges from different periods—from Roman and Ottoman to Petrović—whose physical parameters such as size, shape, and structure served as the basis for sound generation. By pressing a button, visitors activate the sound of each individual bridge, creating a unique musical composition in the space each time, dependent on the timing and sequence of sound activation.
Through interactivity, the audience ceases to be passive observers and becomes active participants in creating a new aesthetic experience, allowing the bridges to complement their visual structure with missing melodies and a collective symphony.
The exhibition was financially supported by the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation through a grant awarded in the international competition for funding and co-funding cultural and artistic projects for 2024/2025, implemented in collaboration with partners Adriatic Marinas (Porto Montenegro), One Montenegro, and Electric Power Company of Montenegro.
The project was further developed through study residencies at universities in Berlin (TU Berlin), Turin (Politecnico di Torino), Novi Sad (Academy of Arts), London (School of Creative Arts), and at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in New York, as part of a Fulbright Scholarship during 2024.
By organizing this unique exhibition, STP contributes to the development of creativity, culture, and the connection between science and art. Starting March 10, the exhibition will become a part of the permanent collection, and all interested visitors will be able to view it on weekdays within the co-working space on the ground floor of STP.
