A meeting with representatives of the World Bank was held at the premises of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, dedicated to strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Montenegro. Attending on behalf of the World Bank were Senior Private Sector Specialist Alexandre Hugo Laure, consultants Vinod K. Goel and Alessia Pozzi, and Gordana Danilović-Grković.
Radivoje Drobnjak, Head of the Innovation Programs and Projects Sector, and Srna Sudar, Director of the Technology Transfer Office, presented current projects and initiatives of STP, including support programs.
During the meeting, discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration in developing innovation policies, supporting the startup community, and enhancing institutional capacities. Special attention was given to strengthening actors within the innovation system through coordinated activities, knowledge and experience exchange, and connections with international partners.
The importance of strategic partnerships was particularly highlighted as a means to boost competitiveness, digital transformation, and sustainable economic growth, emphasizing that such collaboration can enhance innovation capacities and open new opportunities for domestic entrepreneurs.
This meeting represents an important step toward defining concrete models for future cooperation and joint initiatives, while also providing an opportunity to consider long-term strategies for further development of the innovation community.
