The focus of the two-day visit was on knowledge and experience exchange, as well as on the potential for collaboration on future projects.
On the first day of the visit, we visited the Zagreb Innovation Centre (Zicer). The Executive Director, Frane Šesnić, discussed the challenges faced by the innovation center and the services it offers. He also introduced us to the infrastructure and functionality of the facility, as well as the logistics.
Programs offered by Zicer to startups and growing companies were also presented, aimed at accelerating their development, conquering new markets, and attracting investments. We were particularly interested in the pre-acceleration program, Startup Factory, which was introduced by Milica Projić, the coordinator of the entrepreneurs’ incubation program.
The second day of the two-day visit to Zagreb began with a tour of the Hamag Bicro agency.
With colleagues from Hamag Bicro, with whom we are partners on one of the projects, we discussed the programs and services they implement, innovative entrepreneurship, and successfully exchanged experiences and best practices.
During the second day, we also visited the Biocenter. Marija Lovrić, the director of Bicro Biocenter, introduced us to their operating system and the support models.
With Anita Šporec, the head of the bioanalytical laboratory, we started the tour and got acquainted with the infrastructure.
This study trip was organized with the aim of connecting with existing partners and meeting potential ones, as well as facilitating the successful exchange of experiences and best practices, and considering the possibilities for future cooperation. The study trip was organized with the support of UNDP.
