Short Biography

Dr Boban Melović is a full professor at the University of Montenegro. He was born in Pljevlja. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica in 2003. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and Podgorica respectively. He has been working at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro for more than 20 years, during which time he has held two academic titles – From a Teaching Associate to a Full Professor.

Professor Melović teaches a group of courses in the scientific field of Management and Marketing. In addition to his home Faculty of Economics, he teaches at the Maritime Faculty in Kotor and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica. He is Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and a member of the Scientific Committee of the University of Montenegro. He has served as Vice-Dean for Administration for two mandates and as Vice-Dean for International Affairs.

He is the author or co-author of five books, several chapters in international monographs, as well as a large number of scientific and structural works in the fields of marketing, management, business, branding and tourism. He has participated in a large number of scientific groups, as well as in scientific and professional projects, and has been a member of various expert and advisory groups. From 2012 to 2020 he was a member of the Centre of Young Scientists of the Crnogorska Academy of Science and Arts (CANU). He is a visiting professor at several faculties, a member of the international editorial board and editorial board of a major journal, and a member of the scientific and organisational committee of a large number of scientific conferences. He holds a WorldSkills Europe Expert Certificate. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Scientific and Technological Park of Crno Gora. He is a two-time recipient of the University of Montenegro Award for achieved results and special contributions to the development of the scientific-technical-educational council and international positioning.
