On 14 March, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro hosted the final competition within the “Be Internet Awesome” project, implemented by the “Čini dobro” Foundation in partnership with the STP, and designed for primary school students across Montenegro.
On that occasion, the participants demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills acquired during this six-month educational journey.
The competition brought together students from six primary schools: “Risto Manojlović” from Kolašin, “Kekec” from Sutomore, the Second Primary School from Budva, “Njegoš” from Cetinje, “Radojica Perović” from Podgorica, and “Aleksa Bećo Đilas” from Mojkovac.
Through workshops, practical tasks, and interactive activities, the children learned how to identify potential risks in the online environment, protect their personal data, and develop responsible behaviour on the internet.
The best teams were selected by an expert jury consisting of: Vladan Mašanović from the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, Mira Lopičić Zloković from the Innovation Fund of Montenegro, Ana Labudović from the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro, as well as Dušan Vojinović from Grawe osiguranje, and Ljubomir Dujović from One Montenegro.
Three teams demonstrated exceptional knowledge of internet culture and won awards provided by the company One Montenegro.
First place was awarded to Team 14, composed of:
Anja Pandurica (Primary School “Aleksa Đilas-Bećo”, Mojkovac), Iskra Gazivoda (Primary School “Radojica Perović”, Podgorica), Luka Stanojević (Primary School “Njegoš”, Cetinje), and Jakov Vejnović (Second Primary School, Budva).
Second place was awarded to Team 8, composed of:
Kristina Rakočević (Primary School “Risto Manojlović”, Kolašin), Kataleja Hrvatin (Primary School “Kekec”, Sutomore), Anika Milošević (Primary School “Radojica Perović”, Podgorica), and Saša Čelebić (Primary School “Njegoš”, Cetinje).
Third place was awarded to Team 5, composed of:
Biljana Rakočević (Primary School “Risto Manojlović”, Kolašin), Ognjen Ostojić (Primary School “Kekec”, Sutomore), Milica Đurović (Primary School “Aleksa Đilas-Bećo”, Mojkovac), David Lukovac (Primary School “Radojica Perović”, Podgorica), and Miroslav Aleksić (Second Primary School, Budva).
The final competition provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate the knowledge they had acquired over the previous period through teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, while the project itself was implemented with the aim of developing digital skills and raising awareness of safe and responsible internet use among primary school pupils.
The “Be Internet Awesome” project is implemented by the “Čini dobro” Foundation in cooperation with the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, the Innovation Fund, and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, with the support of partners and companies One Montenegro, Grawe Insurance, Smart Hub Dvorište, WeAreAi, Ninamedia, and Coca-Cola Montenegro.
The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro was pleased to host this competition and, through this project, to contribute to educating children in the areas of digital skills, online safety, and creative thinking.
