Final checks and approvals on the occasion of the launch of the Public Call for admission to the status of tenants in the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro are underway!

The team of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro prepared invitations, accompanying documentation, regulations, and an assessment of the value of the space was also made. Our subject documentation is currently under the opinion of the relevant institutions, which requires a little more time than previously planned.

Startups/spinoffs and teams with innovative potential that develop innovative products, services or technologies have the right to participate in the Public Call, namely:

Startups/Spinoffs based in Montenegro can participate in this Public Call under the following conditions:

– there are no liquidation or bankruptcy proceedings against them and no permanent or temporary ban on business activity has been imposed on them;

– the legal representative has not been convicted of criminal offenses against the economy and the environment, for the criminal offense of accepting or giving a bribe and the criminal offense of fraud;

– do not operate in any of the following areas: production/trade in weapons and ammunition, production/trade in alcoholic beverages (except beer and wine), production/trade in excise goods, games of chance;

– the product or technology does not damage biodiversity and/or endanger the environment.

Teams with innovative potential (informal teams of individuals) focused on the development of innovative or high-tech products, services or processes with significant market growth potential.

The right to participate under this Public Call is also available to legal entities that perform innovative and scientific research activities, that develop innovative products, services or technologies, namely:

– Micro, small and medium-sized companies, for partial or complete placement of their development and operations in the NTP of Montenegro;

– Large companies to place exclusively their research and development departments in the NTP of Montenegro;

– Licensed scientific research institutions.

Legal entities that perform innovative and scientific-research activities may participate in this Public Call under the following conditions:

– their requirements correspond to the infrastructural capacities available to the NTP of Montenegro;

– there are no liquidation or bankruptcy proceedings against them and no permanent or temporary ban on business activity has been imposed on them;

– regularly fulfill obligations to pay taxes and contributions on personal income, corporate income tax and value added tax, that is, regularly settle reprogrammed tax obligations;

– do not operate in any of the following areas: production/trade in weapons and ammunition, production/trade in alcoholic beverages (except beer and wine), production/trade in excise goods, games of chance;

– the product or technology does not damage biodiversity and/or endanger the environment;

– the legal representative has not been convicted of criminal offenses against the economy and the environment, for the criminal offense of accepting or giving a bribe and the criminal offense of fraud;

– they have been operating positively in the last two years 5 ;

– for scientific and research institutions, the license of the relevant ministry.

Foreign companies that want to move their development departments to the NTP of Montenegro will be obliged to register in Montenegro in accordance with the Law on Business Companies.

The right to participate under this Public Call has complementary organizations, which are considered legal entities that provide support to subjects of innovative activity, i.e. organizations that perform activities that can support the NTP Montenegro in achieving the strategic goals described in this Public Call as well as all tenants of the NTP, as which are:

– Trainings and education;

– Mentoring services;

– Marketing services;

– Consulting services;

– Research & Development;

– Organization of gatherings, seminars, conferences, etc.;

– Connecting and networking services with domestic and international business partners;

– Business internationalization programs.

Complementary organizations can participate in this Public Call provided that they have a developed activity plan aimed at supporting the tenants of the NTP CG. Part of the professional services that complementary organizations would have to provide to the tenants of the NTP must be available without special compensation, while the terms of use of other professional services will be negotiated separately. In addition to the above, they must meet the following conditions:

– operate as organizations and provide relevant services for more than 1 year;

– their business activities correspond to the goals of NTP Montenegro (support for the development and commercialization of research, employment, growth of income and exports, business networking, etc.);

– their technical, logistical and business requirements correspond to the resources available to the NTP of Montenegro;

– their activities do not in any way endanger or compromise the activities of NTP CG or members of NTP CG, that is, they do not work against the interests of NTP CG or tenants of NTP CG;

– regularly fulfill obligations to pay taxes and contributions on personal income, corporate income tax and value added tax, that is, regularly settle reprogrammed tax obligations;

– the legal representative has not been convicted of criminal offenses against the economy and the environment, for the criminal offense of receiving or giving a bribe and the criminal offense of fraud.
