S3 Project Fair: Science and Innovation Pillars of Smart Growth in Montenegro

The project fair in the areas of smart specialization (S3), within which the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism, presented some of the innovative projects supported by the national budget, IPA pre-accession support, and European Union (EU) programs. More than 30 exhibitors presented their innovative projects and programs, including representatives from innovation infrastructure, universities and centers of excellence, recipients of collaborative innovation grants and early-stage startup development grants, users of the pre-acceleration program, as well as other relevant institutions and stakeholders involved in the implementation of the smart specialization concept.

The goal of the Innovation Projects Fair was to bring the concept of innovation closer to young people and the general public, highlighting how innovations contribute to development in the priority areas of smart specialization, which are some of the first results of the implementation of this concept in Montenegro.

Šćepanović stated that the Science and Innovation Days festival, after a two-year break, has returned to Montenegro to bring the impact of this world closer to both professionals and the general public, especially the youth. She emphasized how, through new inventions and innovative solutions, a better future for everyone can be created.

“The Government of Montenegro recognizes the importance of science and innovation in the overall development of society, expressing its readiness to improve the environment through active support measures for the development of these activities, making science and innovation the main pillars of smart growth,” said Šćepanović.
