Project associate at STP MNE, Tanja Rakonjac, presented the B-blue project.
The first international scientific conference in the field of maritime affairs, titled “1st Kotor International maritime conference,” was held, organized by the Faculty of maritime studies in Kotor. The co-organizers of the conference were the Municipality of Kotor and the Chamber of commerce of Montenegro.
At the opening of the conference on the first day, Nina Drakić,phd, acting president of the Chamber of commerce of Montenegro, spoke and praised the idea of bringing together institutions that are involved in blue economy sectors. “I believe we should use this conference as an opportunity for better networking and, based on that, synergistic action toward the development of this segment of the economy, which is gaining increasing importance in regional and overall European policies,” she stated.
During the Blue growth forum, organized on the second day, projects, project activities, and achievements in the field of blue growth, implemented by institutions and organizations in Montenegro, were presented, aiming to improve connections between different types of actors and further collaboration among them.
Tanja Rakonjac, project associate at STP MNE, presented the progress and results of the B-blue project.
“Through the B-Blue project, STP aims to further promote all key stakeholders in Montenegro in recognizing potential blue technologies and, above all, to stimulate stronger ties between transnational BLUE actors and the IT community in Montenegro,” emphasized Rakonjac.
As part of the conference, roundtable discussions were held on the topics of “Maritime education and training” and “Innovations in the Blue growth sector: Potential trends.”
