Recognizing talent and nurturing its potential from the very beginning is an important part of the mission of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro. As a testament to this commitment, certificates of appreciation were ceremonially awarded today to Montenegrin university students and high school students who achieved outstanding success at the international EUSAIR Youth POPRI 2026 competition.
This prestigious competition, held in Skopje, brought together innovators from nine countries, and our young representatives demonstrated that, with outstanding ideas and the right professional support, remarkable results can be achieved on the international stage. Throughout the entire process of preparing and developing their solutions, the teams were guided and supported by their mentor, Vladan Mašanović, Education, Networking and Academic Cooperation Associate at STP MNE.
We would like to highlight that the student startup team SeaSense achieved an outstanding result, securing second place in an exceptionally strong competition.
Stefan Knežević from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and Đuro Radonjić from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro presented an AI-powered coastal monitoring platform. In addition to the university students, Montenegro’s innovation potential was successfully showcased by the high school team AgroLink from the Secondary School of Economics and Hospitality in Bar. Anđela Zindović and Tijana Brežanin developed a digital platform that connects owners of unused land with young farmers, creating new opportunities for agricultural development and more efficient use of available resources.
In recognition of their achievements and dedicated efforts, certificates of appreciation were ceremonially presented to the young innovators by Srna Sudar, phd, and Mr. Radivoje Drobnjak. On this occasion, they engaged in direct discussions with the teams, reviewing their accomplishments to date and exploring the next steps in the further development of their ideas.
Talented young people are the best proof that Montenegro possesses the knowledge and creativity needed to address contemporary societal challenges, and the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro will continue to proudly serve as an environment where such ideas can grow, develop, and thrive.
