STP Montenegro and TTO Participate in Fact-Finding Mission within the EU4IP WB6 Project

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) participated in the Fact-Finding Mission to Montenegro, held in Podgorica on 26–27 March 2026 as part of the EU4IP Western Balkans (EU4IP WB6) project, organised by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro.

The event was largely held at the PATLIB Centre within the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, with the support of STP Montenegro and TTO, aiming to enhance dialogue and strengthen cooperation among relevant institutions and stakeholders in the field of intellectual property.

The mission aimed to establish direct cooperation with key national institutions and organisations in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the intellectual property system in Montenegro, identify key challenges and priorities, and define potential directions for future collaboration within the EU4IP WB6 project. Special emphasis was placed on alignment with European Union legal standards and strengthening regional cooperation in this field.

During the mission, the EU4IP WB6 project of the European Union Intellectual Property Office was presented, along with planned activities that will be aligned in the coming period with the proposals and needs of stakeholders from Montenegro.

On behalf of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, Srna Sudar, phd, Director of the Technology Transfer Office, attended the meeting with representatives of EUIPO and the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro.

It is important to emphasise that the organisation and implementation of the mission were further supported by the significant contribution of the PATLIB Centre in Montenegro, which operates as an integral part of the TTO and STP Montenegro.

The participation of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and the Technology Transfer Office in the mission confirms our active role in developing the innovation ecosystem, strengthening the intellectual property protection system, and engaging in regional initiatives supported by the European Union.
