Leadership Driving Innovation and Confirming Record Results of STP Montenegro: Valentina Radulović Named Project Manager of the Year

The prestigious “Project Manager of the Year” award, presented by the Association of Managers of Montenegro to Executive Director MSc Valentina Radulović, also represents official recognition of the most successful period in the work of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro since its establishment. This award is not only a personal recognition, but also a direct confirmation of the strategic and visionary leadership that, during 2025, resulted in the full utilization of the institution’s potential, achieving an impressive occupancy rate of approximately 86% of its infrastructure capacities in 2025.

Under the leadership of Valentina Radulović, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro has positioned itself as the country’s most dynamic innovation hub. The intensity of its activities is best reflected in the fact that as many as 589 events have been organized from the opening of the STP building until May 2026. At the same time, 285 participants completed various support programs and specialized training courses in 2025, significantly strengthening the human capital of Montenegro’s innovation community.

The remarkable success of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro is further demonstrated by the fact that 42 companies have so far become tenants and active users of STP services. Over the past year, the institution successfully implemented ten key support programs and is currently actively involved in eight major European projects. This level of engagement has positioned the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro as an equal and credible partner on the demanding European innovation map, opening the door to faster knowledge and technology transfer.

In addition to its infrastructural success, the award presented by the Association of Managers of Montenegro particularly highlights the contribution to connecting science and business, which has for decades been one of the greatest challenges of our society. Today, this bridge has been materialized through the integration of four laboratory facilities of the University of Montenegro within our institution, enabling the commercialization of scientific ideas into products.

A clear orientation toward international competitiveness has been further confirmed through the submission of 14 applications for projects financed from the European Union budget, as well as through the systematic expansion of partnership networks at both the national and international levels.

Today, STP tenants not only benefit from a modern workspace, but also receive expert support through the PATLIB Center for Intellectual Property Protection and the Technology Transfer Office. This ecosystem enables innovators to develop and test their solutions in real-world conditions, with support that accompanies every step of their entrepreneurial journey.

This recognition naturally builds upon previous achievements, when the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro was awarded the title of Best Hub for Innovation and Startup Development, alongside its prestigious membership in the renowned EBN network.

These results collectively confirm that Montenegro has established a stable, measurable, and sustainable system that guarantees accelerated technological development and the transformation of the domestic economy toward a modern knowledge-based society.
