ONLINE LAUNCH OF THE 2021 EU4TECH PoC CALL: January 18, 2021, at 14:00h

The proof of concept project for the Western Balkans announces the launch of the open call for projects for 2021. The launch will be followed by a Zoom Webinar, where the call will be presented, and questions will be answered. You can register for the Webinar at here.

Prior registration is required for the Zoom event, and participant numbers are limited. We recommend registering early.

The EU4TECH PoC WB project offers specialized support for 40 of the most promising technology-based projects developed within public research organizations and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises from the Western Balkans at the “Proof of Concept Stage” (Technology Readiness Level 3).

We offer you the opportunity to work with experienced EU and national experts who will help you validate and protect your technology, develop a robust business model, and guide your project toward commercial reality.

Eligible applicants for the EU4TECH PoC WB open Call 2021 can come from universities, research institutes, SMEs, and high-tech companies in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia*.

Applications must be submitted for projects at the “Proof of Concept” (PoC) development stage (TRL3) – for example, implementing a method or idea to demonstrate feasibility or to confirm that a concept or theory has practical potential.

This designation is without prejudice to positions on status and is in line with UNSCR 1244/99 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
** NOTE: Companies from Serbia are not eligible for this open call and are directed towards their national schemes.
Successful candidates will receive highly specialized support services, delivered through a combination of mentoring and workshops:

Technology development and prototyping for commercial demonstrations.
Entrepreneurial support and mentorship.
Intellectual property management.
Market analysis.
Business planning and business model development.
Further support for funding opportunities.
Support is also available for building demonstrators and seeking IP protection.
