The Future of the Blue Economy: Successfully concluded Transnational Demo Day and B2B Event at STP of MNE

On May 28, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro proudly hosted the Transnational Demo Day and B2B Event. This day marked the culmination of a demanding but highly successful period, as well as months of work within the ABBA project, bringing together innovation, modern technology, and significant investment potential presented in one place.

This event demonstrated how much international cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian region has been strengthened and is ready to deliver concrete results.

At the Demo Day, 30 selected teams from across the region had the opportunity to present outstanding ideas they had been diligently working on.

Instead of traditional presentations, the audience had the opportunity to take part in a dynamic exchange of visions, witnessing first-hand how sophisticated deep-tech solutions are no longer just theory but are becoming an indispensable tool in protecting the Adriatic and ensuring the sustainable management of marine resources.

As success does not come overnight, each presented business idea was backed by months of testing, work, and professional development. Throughout this process, as well as during the evaluation at the final event, our partners played a key role, forming the expert jury together with a representative of the Innovation Fund. With their knowledge, experience, and objective market insight, they guided the teams toward further growth. Our innovators were also supported by numerous investors, industry representatives, and all those interested in the blue economy, who closely followed each presentation.

After a series of outstanding and inspiring ideas, the jury faced an extremely difficult task. However, in the end, the following teams stood out as the best: ETIAK, Zadar Energy, LoRasi, EcoWave, NauticAI Squad, SmartBEM, ShipCon, Brick.Block.ba, NEREID, FABCUBE SRL, Educational Programme: Sustainable Practices in Nautical Tourism with Emphasis on Skippers and Environmental Protection, and Solar Grozdanić.

Their innovations were recognized as the most promising for further commercialization, bringing direct benefits to the protection and development of marine ecosystems. The strong turnout from the community, which came to support the young teams on their journey toward business success and international recognition, gave this gathering a special energy. The successfully implemented Transnational Demo Day is yet another strong confirmation of the role that the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro plays in creating a stimulating environment where creative ideas receive the right support for further development and market entry.
