Smarten up for the future

The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) has officially launched the first regional online competition event under the slogan “Balkathon – Smarten up for the future.” Balkathon will be an opportunity to promote digital smart solutions, as well as for networking among youth, startups, and others to work together and come up with innovative ideas in response to post-pandemic needs.

Furthermore, this competition will bring together young innovative people, startup companies, digital innovation centers, science parks, universities, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other various participants from the Western Balkans, to collaborate and create new ideas and solutions that can be implemented throughout the region.

The proposed themes for Balkathon are: smart tourism, digital learning platforms, and online payment solutions. For each thematic item, the winners will be awarded a prize of 10,000 EUR.

The registration process started on July 1, 2020, and will remain open until July 12, 2020, at 12:00 PM.
