The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro had the pleasure of hosting a representative of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) as part of an evaluation visit, which represents one of the key phases in the process of acquiring the EU|BIC certification. EU|BIC is an internationally recognized quality label by which EBN confirms that organizations supporting innovation and entrepreneurship operate in accordance with defined EU|BIC quality standards and apply proven methodologies and good European practices in providing support to entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators.

The visit itself and the direct evaluation were primarily focused on a detailed assessment of the support programs, services, and the way the activities of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro are implemented, with a special focus on their compliance with the highest European standards and norms in the field of supporting innovations, startups, and entrepreneurship development. For the team of the Science and Technology Park, this working meeting represented a significant opportunity for the direct exchange of experiences with leading European experts, as well as for an objective assessment of the quality of existing programs, processes, and working methodologies. This type of cooperation allows us to continuously improve the support system, further raise the quality of services, and ensure that the activities of STP MNE are developed and implemented in accordance with the best European practices.

Acquiring the EU|BIC quality label for our institution would mean international recognition, as well as opening the doors to a community that numbers around 110 innovation centers worldwide.

Being part of such a network means direct access to new knowledge, innovative tools, and global networks of partners, which will directly reflect on the faster and higher-quality development of our tenants and the entire Montenegrin startup ecosystem.

With this important step forward and the official confirmation of quality, we are sending a message to domestic and foreign investors, potential partners, and international institutions that the Montenegrin innovation ecosystem not only follows global trends but also operates according to the highest European standards, ready to meet new technological and business challenges.
