From 8 to 10 June 2026, the final conference and fifth meeting of the StoreMore Project Steering Committee were held in Veszprém, Hungary, as part of the Interreg Danube Region Programme. The event brought together project partners and relevant stakeholders from across the region to present the project’s achievements, explore opportunities for their further application, and define the next steps towards the long-term sustainability of project activities.

The StoreMore project focuses on improving the sustainability of energy systems through the development of innovative energy storage solutions, enhancing energy efficiency, and supporting the green transition in the Danube Region. During the final conference, key project results were presented, including digital tools, methodologies, and recommendations developed for policymakers, research institutions, and the energy sector.

A particular focus of the conference was on exchanging experiences and discussing future directions for the development of sustainable energy solutions. Participants had the opportunity to explore the latest trends in energy resource management, as well as the importance of regional cooperation in achieving the European Union’s climate and energy objectives.

On the second day of the event, expert study visits to innovative energy and technology facilities in the region were organised. Participants visited CoreComm SI in Veszprém, as well as the MVM Balance gas power plant in Litér, where a state-of-the-art sodium-sulphur (NaS) energy storage system was presented. These visits provided first-hand insight into the practical application of advanced technologies and solutions that contribute to greater flexibility and sustainability of energy systems.

On the final day, the final meeting of the Project Steering Committee was held, during which partners reviewed the concluding project activities, administrative and financial obligations, as well as plans for the further use and promotion of the results developed. Particular attention was given to the sustainability of the project achievements and opportunities for continued cooperation through new international initiatives and projects.

By participating in the final events of the StoreMore project, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro continues to contribute to strengthening regional cooperation, exchanging knowledge, and promoting innovative solutions that support the green and energy transition.
