Science and Technology Park Montenegro Brought Together Partners and Innovators: From the Partner Meeting to the Transnational Demo Day

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro was the proud host of a two-day ABBA event that brought together key partners and innovators from the region and across Europe.

Activities commenced on May 27 with a partner meeting that included both a Project Team Meeting and a Steering Committee Meeting. These working sessions brought together representatives of partner organizations, project management members, and Steering Committee representatives to review the project’s progress to date and define strategic directions for its continuation. The participants were welcomed by Aleksandar Janičić, Donor-Funded Projects Expert at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, and Ioannis Dagkinis, representative of the Lead Partner from the Department of Maritime Studies, Trade and Transport of the University of the Aegean. During the joint sessions of the Project Team and Steering Committee, a comprehensive overview of the current status of the ABBA project was presented, with a focus on project objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes. Discussions were centered on the technical aspects of the project’s key phases. Partners defined the necessary steps for the completion of the first phase, while representatives from KiNNO presented a report on the activities implemented so far. Partners from AULEDA provided updated information and outlined the next steps in project implementation, while also leading a session dedicated to the project’s communication strategies.

Special attention was given to the organization of the upcoming Demo Day and B2B meetings. The coordination details and implementation plan were presented by the team of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, highlighting their importance for the practical application of project results and business networking opportunities. The official part of the meeting concluded with a discussion on the project’s future management and the key activities planned for the upcoming period.

Following the productive working sessions, a short city tour was organized for all participants of the Project Team and Steering Committee meetings. Guests had the opportunity to visit a local fortress and gain deeper insight into Montenegro’s history and cultural heritage. The evening concluded with a joint project dinner, providing an excellent opportunity for informal networking, knowledge exchange, and strengthening partnerships among the project participants.

The two-day programme was successfully concluded on May 28 with the flagship event, the Transnational Demo Day and B2B Event, dedicated entirely to direct networking, the exchange of advanced ideas, and the presentation of innovative solutions. The event brought together innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, and project partners, creating a dynamic environment for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exploration of new business opportunities.

Through the successful organization of this event, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro once again demonstrated its role as a key hub for connecting science and business, creating new opportunities for innovation development and strengthening international partnerships. By fostering collaboration among researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry stakeholders, the event further reinforced Montenegro’s position within the European innovation ecosystem and highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation in addressing future challenges and driving sustainable growth.
