The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro officially opened its doors to the innovation community exactly two years ago, becoming a centre of technological development in our country. Going beyond the scope of a purely infrastructural project, in this short period we have grown into a key hub for entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer, and advanced technologies. Our mission is growing stronger every day as we build a solid bridge between the research community and the business sector, creating a dynamic ecosystem in which new ideas receive support and a structured pathway to the market.

Intensive development is best reflected in the strength of our innovation community, which today proudly brings together 43 residents, including promising startups, development companies, legal entities, and complementary organizations that are creating new value.

That we have become a true epicentre of connection and development since our opening is confirmed by the fact that we have hosted more than 600 events to date, including numerous international conferences, hackathons, and competitions for young people. In addition, we have carefully developed and successfully implemented 10 specialized support programmes for innovators, which we will further expand this year.

Special emphasis has been placed on advanced research infrastructure and intellectual property protection, integrating five modern laboratories of the University of Montenegro and the PATLIB centre within the Technology Transfer Office. Our strong development momentum also has a clear international dimension, as we are currently actively involved in the implementation of eight European projects, with as many as 14 submitted applications for new projects funded by EU funds.

The effort, dedication, and clear vision of the entire Science and Technology Park of Montenegro team have also been officially confirmed through a series of prestigious awards. Our position as a key pillar of the ecosystem is best demonstrated by the title “Best Innovation and Startup Development Hub,” with STP MNE being recognized as an institution that drives innovation and fosters entrepreneurial ambition. In addition, awards reflecting an appropriate approach to managing this institution and the values we systematically nurture, such as the “Project Manager of the Year” award for 2025, provide strong momentum for future endeavours.
