Opportunity for Scientists and Innovators: European Patent Office (EPO) Grants for Working with Youth

The European Patent Office (EPO) has opened a call for grants within the European Inventor Network, aimed at scientists, professors, and innovators who wish to use their knowledge to inspire primary and secondary school students in Montenegro.

European Inventor Network

The network was established in 2023 and brings together individuals from the world of science — from finalists of the prestigious European Inventor Award/Young Inventors Prize to inspiring experts from 30 EPO member states. The network currently includes more than 300 scientists and 110 supported activities across Europe.

Grants for School Activities

ach January, the EPO publishes a call for the organization of science activities for children. The aim is to bring science closer to young people through a practical and engaging approach and to spark their curiosity.

Key details of the call:

  • Selected activities are awarded grants of €2,000, €4,000, or €6,000.
  • Activities can cover any field of science.
  • Projects can be implemented in schools, laboratories, science centres, IT hubs, or any other suitable learning space.
  • In addition to financial support, the recipients gain membership in the Network, which opens opportunities for international networking and participation in other activities of the European Patent Office.

The call is open to all individuals from the scientific community who wish to organize educational and inspiring programs for primary and secondary school students.
