Short biography

With a rich career of several decades, spanning sustainable development, international cooperation, project management, and scientific entrepreneurship, Srna Sudar, PhD stands as a driving force in promoting innovation and building vital bridges between science, industry, and the startup community in Montenegro.

 

In her former roles as Head of the Project Office and Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Montenegro, Director of the REC Montenegro office, and Head of the Economic and Environmental Sector at the OSCE Mission in Montenegro, Ms. Sudar gained extensive experience in leadership, collaborative strategy, and partnership-building with international, EU, national, and regional stakeholders. Through her coordination of the Euraxess/EURAXESS HUB for Scientific Entrepreneurship and the EIT HEI ABCD project, she has championed new pathways for robust science-industry synergies, driving impactful connections for knowledge transfer.

 

Her expertise is further endorsed by a range of prestigious certifications in mentorship, startup evaluation, and policy development based on scientific research (EIT Jumpstarter, HICEE, JRC), as well as ISO standards 14001 and 21502. As Montenegro’s National Contact Point for both the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the European Research Council (ERC), Ms. Sudar actively fosters Montenegro’s innovation ecosystem, enhancing its profile and collaboration across Europe.
