The Montenegro Science and Technology Park successfully conducted training on the implementation of circular economy principles in Montenegro through four thematic workshops held between September 16 and October 3, 2025. The training was organized within the framework of the POLICY ANSWERS project, “R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS,” funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation program.
During the dynamic and interactive workshops, participants had the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the circular economy and its importance for Montenegro’s sustainable development. The workshops were designed to combine theoretical principles with practical exercises, enabling participants to immediately apply the knowledge gained to concrete examples and real-life situations.
We invite you to watch the short video clips from each workshop to gain insight into the experiences and perspectives of the participants. Links to the videos are provided next to the title of each workshop below.

Through interactive exercises and practical tasks, workshop participants had the opportunity to immediately apply what they learned, enabling them to better understand the principles of circularity and their significance in real-life situations. The entire training provided a dynamic learning experience, allowing participants to ask questions and exchange experiences. A total of 83 participants were registered for the full training, and 54 successfully obtained a certificate of completion, confirming their active participation and mastery of the workshop content.
Hamdija Mujezin, an expert in energy, circular economy, and business development with extensive experience in implementing sustainable development projects in the Western Balkans, delivered lectures at all four workshops, providing participants with concrete guidance on applying circular principles. His experience-based approach enabled participants to better understand key concepts and ways to implement them in their own work through exercises and discussions.
