Successfully held Info day for the “Equal Hack: Code for equality” hackathon

On october 11, 2024, an Info Day for the “Equal Hack: Code for equality” hackathon was held at the Science and technology Park of Montenegro. The event was attended by representatives of high schools, professors, and students, while a portion of the participants followed the event in an online format.

During the Info day, participants were thoroughly introduced to the goals and purpose of the hackathon, which is focused on developing innovative solutions for inclusive education and combating discrimination. Possible outcomes of the hackathon include mobile apps, games, visualizations, quizzes, assistive devices, improved documentation, action plans, promotional campaign designs, social experiments, online tools, and other creative solutions. This event provided high school students and representatives from high schools with the opportunity to better understand the application and participation process for the hackathon, as well as the ways in which they can contribute to creating a more inclusive education system.

The public call for applications for the hackathon, along with all the necessary information and documentation, will be published next week on the website of the Science and technology park of Montenegro. The announcement will also be available through social media and will be forwarded via email to all participants of the Info day.

The hackathon is organized by the Council of Europe program office in Podgorica, with the Science and technology park of Montenegro (STP) acting as the event facilitator. For additional information and inquiries, please contact us at: [email protected].
