The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro has successfully conducted two out of three planned training sessions dedicated to supporting the development of sustainable agriculture and the food value chain. The training sessions were held in: Berane: March 4th and 5th at the Regional Business Center Nikšić: March 11th and 12th at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis
The final training session in this cycle is scheduled for April 8th and 9th at the Business Info Center in Tivat.
The training program is aimed at agricultural producers, young individuals looking to start their own businesses in this field, and ICT professionals who can offer innovative solutions to improve agricultural practices.
The key topics of the training include: Starting a business in sustainable agriculture Business plan development and financing opportunities Economic and environmental sustainability of agricultural production Procurement of raw materials, production processes, and product placement Implementation of innovative solutions in agriculture
The training is being conducted as part of the EU project “R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS” (POLICY ANSWERS), funded through the Horizon Europe program. Through a series of lectures and workshops, participants have gained knowledge about the principles of sustainable agriculture, the economic and environmental aspects of business, business plan development, and opportunities to apply for support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.
