Connecting research and entrepreneurship: A new era of collaboration between the Faculty of Electrical engineering (ETF) and the Science and technology park of Montenegro

On november 29, 2024, the Science and technology park of Montenegro hosted a delegation from the faculty of Electrical engineering of the University of Montenegro, led by Dean prof. Budimir Lutovac,phd,The delegation also included prof. Enis Kočan, phd, assistant professor Miloš Brajović,phd, and prof. Miloš Daković,phd, a representative of the University of Montenegro on the Board of directors of STP.

During the visit, representatives of STP presented current programs such as SkillsUp, as well as future initiatives that will encourage the development of innovation and entrepreneurship among young people. Special emphasis was placed on the possibility of connecting the research capacities of ETF with the infrastructural potential of STP in order to strengthen innovations and develop projects with industrial applications.

One of the key conclusions of the meeting was the initiative of ETF for the modernization of its entrepreneurship-related curricula, which STP gladly accepted. This step marks the beginning of a closer collaboration between the two institutions, with the goal of providing students with modern skills and knowledge necessary for success in the dynamic technological world.

“Connecting our research potential with the resources and infrastructure of STP is key to creating innovations that will address the needs of the market and society,” emphasized the dean of ETF, prof. Budimir Lutovac,phd.

This collaboration opens doors to new opportunities for students, researchers, and innovative projects, strengthening the connection between education, science, and entrepreneurship in Montenegro.
