
At a meeting held on Friday, October 31, at the premises of the Montenegro Science and Technology Park, an important Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Montenegro STP and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro. This agreement represents a significant step toward closer integration of science, innovation, and industry, while simultaneously establishing the framework for the creation of a Laboratory for Molecular Medicine within the Montenegro STP.
The Molecular Biology Laboratory will become part of the Park’s scientific research infrastructure, making it accessible not only to the academic community but also to the broader innovation ecosystem, companies, and researchers working on the development of advanced technologies and innovative solutions. The Laboratory will remain under the academic management of the University of Montenegro Faculty of Medicine and will be used for educational and scientific research activities, the performance of diagnostic procedures in the fields of pharmacogenetics and molecular medicine, as well as for the development of new products and services, prototyping, and testing in collaboration with the innovation ecosystem.
The meeting preceding the signing served as an opportunity to exchange information and identify new areas of cooperation that will contribute to strengthening the innovation community in Montenegro.
