The application for the WIPO Global Awards 2026 for startup companies, small and medium-sized enterprises from all countries and economic sectors is officially open. The application period is from January 15 to March 31, 2026.

Companies that create real impact and use intellectual property as a strategic resource for business development will be recognized.

In 2026, 11 companies will be awarded, as follows:

• 10 awards across all economic sectors;

• 1 thematic award for small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of sports, in celebration of World Intellectual Property Day 2026;

• 2 special recognitions for the Best Woman Entrepreneur and the Best Young Entrepreneur.

The benefits of this award also include:

• Global visibility through the WIPO-UN network;

• A tailored six-month mentorship program focused on intellectual property commercialization and business strategy;

• Access to investors, institutions, and global entrepreneurial networks;

• Invitation to attend the award ceremony during the WIPO General Assembly session in Geneva.

Applications can be submitted in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Russian.
