A professional workshop was held on the application of the new Law on Business Companies and the Law on Registration of Business Entities in Montenegro

At the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, on January 29, 2026, a professional workshop titled “Application of the New Law on Business Companies and the Law on Registration of Business Entities in Montenegro” was held, organized by the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and the company G Consulting.

The event brought together representatives from institutions, business companies, the consulting sector, as well as experts in law and economics, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences regarding the new legal provisions and their practical application in business. The event was opened by Radivoje Drobnjak, Head of the Sector for Innovation Programs and Projects at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, who emphasized in his opening remarks the importance of timely informing business entities about regulatory changes, as well as the role of institutions in creating a favorable and transparent business environment. During the program, Igor Goranović, Development Manager at G Consulting, spoke about the key problems and open questions that business companies face in applying the new legal provisions. Particular emphasis was placed on the practical challenges of aligning business operations with the new regulations, as well as the need for additional clarifications and support for the business sector during the transitional period.

The central part of the event was dedicated to presenting the amendments to the laws and their implementation. Sanja Bojanić, Head of the Department for the Central Register of Business Entities (CRPS) at the Tax Administration of Montenegro, presented the key updates in the registration of business entities, the procedures that have been improved, as well as the expected effects of the new legal provisions on the efficiency of administrative processes.

On the application of the legal amendments from the business perspective, Suzana Radulović, Secretary General of the Union of Employers of Montenegro, spoke, highlighting the importance of dialogue between institutions and the business community, as well as the need for continuous improvement of the regulatory framework to strengthen the competitiveness of the Montenegrin economy.

The closing part of the event was reserved for a question-and-answer session, during which participants had the opportunity to ask the speakers specific questions and receive additional clarifications regarding the practical application of the new legal provisions.

The event was assessed as very useful and informative, concluding that such professional workshops play a significant role in strengthening cooperation between institutions, the business sector, and the consulting community, as well as in facilitating the efficient implementation of reforms in the field of business law in Montenegro.
