The Montenegrin science and technology park (STP) participated in the Innovent Forum 2025, one of the most significant gatherings of the innovation ecosystem in southeast Europe, held in Larissa, Greece.
As part of the forum, the director of the Technology transfer office (TTO) at STP Montenegro, Srna Sudar phd. participated as a panelist in the session “Alliances of Science and Technology Parks: Expanding Innovation through markets, knowledge exchange, and Strategic cooperation.” This discussion brought together representatives of leading science and technology parks in the region to exchange experiences and strengthen mutual collaboration.
The panel discussed the potentials and challenges in the development of technology parks, the importance of knowledge and experience exchange, as well as the role of strategic partnerships in strengthening the innovation ecosystem. Srna Sudar, phd presented the key activities of the Montenegrin Science and technology park and the Technology transfer office, highlighting their role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship development in Montenegro.
Special focus was placed on the new STP Montengro services, SkillsUp and i4ME, as well as the SMART SOLUTION MEET UP thematic sessions, aimed at empowering young people for entrepreneurial careers and supporting companies in transforming innovative ideas into market-sustainable businesses. Additionally, the latest EU initiative – montEDIH was presented, a project that will enable Montenegro to establish a European digital innovation hub, crucial for the digital transformation of the economy and industry. The project is led by the University of Montenegro, with STP Montengro as one of the partners and a key link for future innovations.
In addition to active participation in the panel discussion, Innovent Forum 2025 provided an opportunity to explore the latest technological solutions in the fields of agriculture, the food industry, energy, and environmental protection, as well as the application of artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented reality (AR) in these sectors.
The panel discussion was organized by Innovent Forum 2025 and JOIST Innovation Park, with the participation of representatives from the Southeast Europe science and technology parks alliance: Sofia Tech Park (Bulgaria), Science and technology park Niš (Serbia), and Ostim Technopark (Turkey).
