The Montenegro Science and Technology Park (STP MNE), with the support of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CB MNE) and partner organizations, invites all creative, innovative, and technology-oriented teams and individuals to apply for participation in the InnoFin Hackathon 2025 – a national program that brings together innovation, knowledge, and social responsibility.

This year’s hackathon will be held under the theme: “Digital Inclusion: An Account that Empowers.”

The program focuses on the development of digital solutions that help recipients of personal disability benefits and universal basic income to easily, safely, and freely open a basic bank account and learn how to use it to receive their social payments.

The goal is for participants to create practical, accessible, and inclusive digital solutions – ranging from interactive guides and mobile applications to virtual assistants and educational platforms – that enable citizens to have easier access to basic financial services.

During the program, teams will participate in an intensive mentorship program (online and onsite), collaborate with experts in finance, IT, design, and business, and develop their ideas into functional DEMO versions of applications. The program finale will take place on December 10, 2025, when the best teams will present their solutions to a jury composed of representatives from CBMNE, STPMNE, and partner institutions.

Prizes The best ideas and teams will be awarded cash prizes as follows: 1st place: €10,000 2nd place: €5,000 3rd place: €2,000

In addition to cash prizes, the winners will have the opportunity to further develop their projects with the support of CBMNE and the Montenegro Science and Technology Park, as well as gain access to a network of mentors, experts, and investors.

All intellectual property rights (IPR) over the awarded solutions belong to the Central Bank of Montenegro, as the main partner and organizer of the hackathon initiative.

Who can apply?

Participation is open to:

• IT specialists and software developers,
• UX/UI designers,
• Economists and fintech enthusiasts,
• Startup teams and innovative companies,
• Creative individuals and multidisciplinary teams interested in socially impactful innovations.

A team can have 3 to 5 members.

Timeline:

• Call opening: November 5, 2025.
• Application deadline: November 15, 2025.
• Team pre-selection: November 16, 2025.
• Mentorship program (online and onsite): November 17 – December 8, 2025.
• Final Pitch Competition: December 10, 2025.
