A meeting was held at the Science and technology park of Montenegro with representatives from the faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro, aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer.
The meeting was attended by prof.Miodrag Radunović,phd. dean of the faculty of Medicine at the University of Montenegro, and Maša Ždralević, phd, head of the Laboratory for molecular medicine and research associate at the Institute for advanced studies. Representing the Science and technology park of Montenegro, present were ms. Valentina Radulović, executive director, Srna Sudar,phd. director of the Technology Transfer Office, and mr. Radivoje Drobnjak, program manager.
During the meeting, representatives of the faculty of Medicine at the University of Montenegro presented their extensive scientific and research work, as well as international cooperation with prestigious medical centers across Europe, North America, and Canada. These activities enable an interdisciplinary approach to key healthcare challenges and strengthen the connection between science and medical practice.
On the other hand, the Science and technology park of Montenegro presented strategic initiatives aimed at connecting the academic community with Montenegro’s innovative ecosystem. The focus is on encouraging researchers and innovators to utilize advanced scientific research resources and infrastructure to contribute to solving current societal and healthcare challenges.
The result of this collaboration is already visible through the joint application of the Institute for advanced studies/Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro, the Science and technology park of Montenegro, and the Technology transfer office for funding from the National Fund for Research Excellence. This step confirms the commitment of the Science and technology park of Montenegro to improving scientific excellence and knowledge transfer in Montenegro, strengthening the connection between science and industry.
The meeting marked an important step in strengthening the synergy between science, business, and innovation, and further joint projects were planned to contribute to the improvement of the healthcare system and encourage innovative approaches in medical research.
