This significant event marks a milestone in our commitment to advancing Montenegro’s technological, scientific, and innovative ecosystem.

During the introductory addresses, the Executive Director of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, Mrs. Valentina Radulović, highlighted that the Montenegrin innovation scene will be divided into periods before and after the establishment of the Science and Technology Park (STP). She stated that this is a turning point marking a new beginning, a new era in which synergy between all stakeholders will be realized to its full potential.

The University of Montenegro, as one of the founders of the Science and Technology Park, plays a crucial role in our joint efforts to advance the scientific, technological, and innovative ecosystem of our country. The Rector of the University of Montenegro, Mr. Vladimir Božović, addressed the audience, emphasizing that the STP is a ‘stargate’ that will accelerate the development of our country.

We also had the opportunity to hear a video message from the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, and Youth, Mrs. Iliana Ivanova, who joined virtually and shared her thoughts on the importance of this project for the region.

The Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Mrs. Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, stressed that the STP should inspire the creation of new solutions through best innovative practices, provide support to creative, innovative individuals and companies, as well as increase their visibility and promote an innovation culture.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Milojko Spajić, emphasized that the Government of Montenegro, as one of the founders of the Science and Technology Park, continuously shows strong commitment to developing the technological and innovative potential of our country.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, the Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, and the Rector of the University of Montenegro, officially opening the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro!
