The delegation of the faculty of Mechanical engineering of the University of Montenegro visited the Science and technology park of Montenegro: Together for modern education and innovation

On november 25, 2024, the Science and technology park of Montenegro hosted a delegation from the faculty of Mechanical engineering of the University of Montenegro, led by the dean of the faculty, prof.Radoje Vujadinović,phd In addition to the dean, the delegation included the vice-dean for international cooperation, prof.Jelena Šaković-Jovanović,phd, the vice-dean for teaching, prof.Aleksandar Vujović, phd, the vice-dean for scientific research, prof.Uroš Karadžić, phd and assistant professor Boško Matović, phd.

The delegation was welcomed by the director of the Science and technology park, ms. Valentina Radulović, the director of the Technology transfer office (TTO), Srna Sudar,phd and the program manager of STP, mr. Radivoje Drobnjak. The purpose of the meeting was to develop a joint vision for collaboration between the two institutions, focusing on engaging young people in high-demand research areas and programs at the faculty of Mechanical engineering, such as mechatronics, robotics, energy efficiency, and traffic safety. The goal was also to open new opportunities through the shared use of infrastructure and human resources, enabling students to gain practical and modern education and develop the skills needed for the labor market and future innovators.

Director of the Science and technology park, ms. Valentina Radulović, presented the key opportunities of the Science and technology park and emphasized the importance of the SkillsUp program, designed to encourage entrepreneurial spirit among young people.

“We are ready for the scientific and research capacities and laboratories of the University of Montenegro, especially the faculty of Mechanical engineering, to become a base for developing an innovative way of thinking among young people,” emphasized Srna Sudar,phd, director of the TTO.

The Program manager of STP, mr. Radivoje Drobnjak, emphasized the importance of the quality of education: “Through joint efforts, we can motivate young people to acquire skills that will enable them to secure better employment and provide the labor market with a qualified workforce.”

This visit marks a new step towards connecting the academic community of the University of Montenegro with the business community, aimed at empowering young people, developing innovations, and improving the competitiveness of the montenegrin economy.
