3D Carniolan bee at the Science and technology Park: A fusion of Science, tradition, and innovation

In partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, the Science and technology park “hosted” an impressive 3D model of the Carniolan bee, Slovenia’s indigenous species.

This spectacular model—a 170 cm long worker bee—was created at a 100:1 scale, with over 90% morphological similarity to a real bee. Combined with internal lighting, movable parts, and educational animations, the model offers a unique and engaging way to bring the world of bees closer to visitors of all ages.

The model, which was the main attraction of the Slovenian pavilion at the Expo exhibition in Dubai, will be on display at the premises of the Science and Technology Park from May 5th to 15th. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to closely explore this remarkable fusion of science, technology, and nature.

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on May 8th, in the presence of H.E. Bernarda Gradišnik, ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, and Valentina Radulović, Director of the Science and technology park.

We invite all nature, science, technology, and ecology enthusiasts to visit us and discover why protecting bees is vital for our future.
