Signed memorandum of cooperation with the aim of increasing the presence of EIT in the Montenegrin innovation community

The director of the Science and technology ark of Montenegro, Valentina Radulović, and EIT Community Officer, Branka Žižić, signed a memorandum of cooperation on december 12, 2024. This document establishes, among other things, the implementation of regular EIT open days at the Science and technology park, aimed at disseminating information and providing guidance on opportunities offered by the European institute of innovation and technology to a wide range of users within the innovation ecosystem.

Given that the move-in of tenants into the Science and technology park has begun, advising on EIT calls and partnerships will be of great importance to innovative teams, companies, and organizations with ambitions to enter the European market. The EIT Hub will also collaborate with the newly opened Technology transfer office, which is an integral part of the STP, in identifying high-quality innovations and promoting them at the European level.

The European institute of innovation and technology (EIT) is a body of the European union established to strengthen Europe’s innovation capacity by driving solutions to major societal challenges and fostering entrepreneurial talent, aiming to create sustainable growth and highly skilled jobs in Europe. EIT is also an integral part of Horizon Europe, the EU Framework programme for research and innovation.

EIT Hub in Montenegro was established in january 2024, headquartered at the University of Montenegro, with operations at the national level. It focuses on disseminating information and providing guidance on how to best leverage the potential of EIT’s strong and dynamic business and educational network.
