On november 29, 2024, the Science and technology park of Montenegro hosted a delegation from the Faculty of Natural sciences and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro, led by the dean, prof.Miljan Begović,phd, along with the faculty vice deans prof. Nataša Raičević, phd,prof. Goran Popivoda,phd, and assistant professor Nikola Konatar,phd.
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged about the potential for joint collaboration, with the goal of making fundamental sciences an inspiration for young people and a foundation for the development of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects.
Representatives of the Science and technology park presented existing support programs, including new initiatives in the areas of pre-incubation and incubation as new programs being developed for future innovators. Special focus was placed on STP’s efforts to make the scientific and research infrastructure of the University of Montenegro available to young people and other stakeholders, providing them with the opportunity to analyze, test, and develop their ideas.
The delegation of the Faculty of Natural sciences and Mathematics emphasized the challenges and the need for support in project development and applying for EU funds, where STP could play a key role.
“Collaboration between our institutions can significantly contribute to empowering young people, creating innovations, and strengthening Montenegro’s competitiveness on a global level,” was concluded at the meeting.
