IT Advanced Services (ITAS) is a Montenegrin company with more than two decades of experience in information technology, now strategically focused on the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) to address the challenges of modern business—from medicine and banking to tourism, education, and public administration. Based in Podgorica and recently located at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, ITAS brings together a team of highly qualified professionals and collaborates with partners both domestically and internationally to develop advanced, sustainable, and adaptable digital solutions. At the heart of IT Advanced Services’ work is its mission to make artificial intelligence a practical tool that transforms everyday life—from the laboratory and the bank to the tourist apartment and the university classroom.

The ITAS team is developing an AI-based medical diagnostic system in collaboration with the Clinical Center of Montenegro. The project, called **PathAI**, uses deep learning models and explainable AI techniques to automatically detect adenocarcinomas in pathological samples. The project has several ambitious objectives, the primary one being to accelerate and improve the diagnosis of colorectal cancer and thereby directly support the healthcare system.

In the field of financial technology, ITAS collaborates with the banking sector to develop tools for the automated detection of suspicious transactions and real-time credit risk assessment. These solutions help clients meet the requirements of modern regulations such as DORA and PSD2, while also improving the security and efficiency of their services.

In the tourism sector, ITAS has designed and implemented an application that enables digital guest registration and the automatic calculation of tourist taxes, saving time and money while simultaneously strengthening the control and efficiency of local authorities.

One of the particularly important areas of ITAS’s operations is its collaboration with the academic sector. By signing a memorandum with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro, the company initiated joint work on the development and implementation of AI tools in the faculty’s internal business processes as well as in teaching. In this way, ITAS contributes to the modernization of education and provides students with the opportunity to learn through practical examples how modern technologies are applied in real-world settings.

In addition, ITAS participates in international cybersecurity initiatives, particularly those promoting public-private cooperation, knowledge sharing, and the strengthening of local capabilities in digital security.

Through all these activities, ITAS remains committed to building the AI community in Montenegro through workshops, lectures, mentorship support for startups, and strategic partnerships with relevant industry and education partners.
