MontEDIH (Montenegrin European Digital Innovation Hub), a project launched in January 2025, is the first and only European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Montenegro, established with the aim of providing comprehensive support for the digital and green transformation of the Montenegrin economy and public sector. As part of the European network of Digital Innovation Hubs, the project provides organizations with access to advanced technologies, knowledge, and infrastructure necessary for modern business operations.

The project is funded through the Digital Europe Programme 2021–2027 (DEP), a key European Union initiative aimed at strengthening digital capacities and promoting the wider application of new technologies in the European economy and society. With a budget of 7.5 billion EUR, the program contributes to strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and its digital sovereignty.

Together with strategic partners, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro provides support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), mid-cap companies, and the public sector in adopting modern solutions. The focus is placed on artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and high-performance computing (HPC), enabling organizations to develop sustainable business models and increase their readiness for implementing innovations.

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro provides the following services within MontEDIH:

• Boot-camp for fostering creativity, innovation, and startup understanding: Aimed at preparing researchers for the potential commercialization of their projects and identifying the needs and products of SMEs and startups for stakeholders.

• Boot-camp for digital transformation: Aimed at preparing researchers for the market realization of research projects and connecting SMEs and startups with relevant actors.

• Launching and managing a startup incubator: A training program for local governments aimed at transferring best practices and developing strategies to improve local startup programs and operational procedures.

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro is one of the key partners in the MontEDIH project, alongside the University of Montenegro (UCG), the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (PKCG), the Institute of Modern Technology Montenegro (IMTM), the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center – Tehnopolis, the Center for Finance, and ICT Cortex.

The total value of the MontEDIH project is 1,999,878.15 EUR.
