The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro continues to strengthen its international connections and reaffirm its position as a key driver of the development of the domestic innovation ecosystem. We were honoured to welcome representatives of the European Commission, the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, and the relevant ministry on 18 June.

The visit to STP Montenegro was attended by Mina Stareva, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, Agota David, Policy Officer at the European Commission, Davide Meinero from the Delegation of the European Union, and Anđela Radulović, National Coordinator for the Horizon Europe Programme at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.

During a highly dynamic meeting led on behalf of our institution by STP Montenegro Executive Director Valentina Radulović, MSc, and Project Manager Anja Grabovica, our guests were given a detailed presentation of the results achieved to date. Particular emphasis was placed on the wide range of support, innovative programmes, and services we provide daily to startups and numerous other entrepreneurs. The guests also had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the ongoing European projects in which we are partners, which directly contribute to strengthening Montenegro’s research and innovation capacities.

This important working visit also included a visit to the University of Montenegro. Through a constructive discussion with representatives of the academic community, the highly successful cooperation to date between the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, STP Montenegro, and the University of Montenegro was highlighted. On this occasion, the significant potential for further strengthening these partnerships was jointly recognised, particularly through future projects under the Horizon Europe programme, further reinforcing the links between science, industry, and international institutions.
