The company AIROFLY, which is developing one of the most ambitious technology projects in Podgorica—an innovative electric-powered aircraft—has become the 46th resident company of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro.
They are developing the innovative AION project, a next-generation octocopter made of carbon fibre, pushing the boundaries of modern aviation and demonstrating that high-tech solutions with global potential can be developed right here in Montenegro.
Unlike standard drones, AION is a registered aircraft based on distributed propulsion technology. This sophisticated eVTOL concept features its own operating system designed for fully autonomous flight, complemented by safety solutions such as automatic emergency landing and a multi-parachute system. This approach ensures the highest safety standards in the rapidly growing field of advanced air mobility.
The presence of the AIROFLY team is highly significant for the local innovation community, as their tangible, real-world product demonstrates the true potential of Montenegro’s engineering capabilities.
STP Montenegro continues to build a supportive environment, serving as a strong foundation at every stage of development, helping transform the visions of talented teams into real-world solutions capable of competing in the global market.
