A Joint Step Toward Digital Modernization: STP Montenegro and RTCG Sign a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and Radio Television of Montenegro signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation on February 24, establishing a partnership between a key institution in the country’s innovation ecosystem and the national public broadcaster.

The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of the Science and Technology Park, Ms. Valentina Radulović, and the General Director of RTCG, Boris Raonić.

In accordance with the signed Memorandum, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro will have the opportunity to introduce the wider public to the people and ideas driving a knowledge-based economy in Montenegro through shows, segments, and digital formats, making innovation recognized and accessible to all.

“By signing the Memorandum with RTCG, we are creating a space for innovations, startup stories, and technological development to become more visible and accessible to the wider public. I believe that connecting the public broadcaster with the innovation ecosystem represents an important step toward digital modernization and strengthening the culture of innovation in Montenegro,” emphasized the Executive Director of the Science and Technology Park, Valentina Radulović.

The Memorandum also provides for the practical testing of new technologies, including the use of AI tools and modern digital solutions in the media environment. Through this collaboration, RTCG serves as a platform for the development and validation of innovative communication models, becoming an example of digital modernization of the public broadcaster, while the Science and Technology Park actively contributes to this process by providing continuous support and expertise.

A special segment of the Memorandum focuses on supporting youth and the startup community through the promotion of their projects, the organization of internships and apprenticeships, and the implementation of hackathons and innovation challenges. Collaboration is also planned on national and European projects that connect technology, media, and public interest, thereby strengthening the digital ecosystem in Montenegro. Additionally, in accordance with the agreement, RTCG will be able, with prior notice and following the rules, to use STP’s premises for recording themed programs and organizing events.

This agreement provides media and innovation with an institutional framework, as well as a space for joint development, aiming to ensure that modern technology and ideas deliver direct benefits to society.
