The Science and Technology Park (STP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a framework for cooperation in the areas of innovation, sustainable development, and the strengthening of Montenegro’s social and economic potential.

The Memorandum defines joint courses of action aimed at supporting innovation-driven, sustainable, and inclusive development, with a particular focus on strengthening entrepreneurship and the private sector, digital and green transformation, human capital development, applied research, and the building of inclusive innovation ecosystems.

The collaboration includes the development and testing of digital and smart solutions for public and developmental challenges, the promotion of green growth and climate action, as well as the strengthening of capacities of young professionals, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Special emphasis is placed on gender equality, inclusive innovations, and the empowerment of women in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Memorandum also foresees cooperation in the areas of knowledge exchange, partnerships, and regional collaboration, including joint events, initiatives, and connecting Montenegro with regional and international innovation and development networks.

This Memorandum confirms the joint commitment of UNDP and STP to contribute, through flexible and mutually agreed-upon models of cooperation, to the achievement of national development priorities, European integration goals, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
