The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro is organizing training on the implementation of circular economy principles in Montenegro through four thematic workshops:
The workshops will be held in the “MVP” conference hall at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro building in Podgorica.
The training is intended for researchers from public and private universities in Montenegro, policymakers, representatives of the business sector (including company representatives, business associations, cluster associations, etc.), as well as representatives of public institutions and civil society organizations. The workshops aim to strengthen the capacities of public and private sector representatives, policymakers, and civil society organizations through practical training and the exchange of experiences in areas crucial for the transition to a sustainable society and economy.
The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro is organizing this training as part of the project “R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS,” abbreviated as POLICY ANSWERS, which is funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe research and innovation program.
Main Objective of the Training
The main objective of the training is to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of various stakeholders – from the public sector and civil society to the private sector – through four specialized workshops: compliance with CBAM and ESG standards, practical circular solutions, sustainable tourism, and circular agriculture. Participants will receive concrete guidelines for enhancing circularity in their organizations through practical exercises, individual and group work, and consultations with the instructor.
In addition, participants from Montenegro will have the opportunity not only to gain knowledge about best practices for transitioning to a circular economy but also to network with potential partners within the country, further promoting collaboration and the exchange of experiences.
