Short Biography

Miloš Daković was born in 1970 in Nikšić, Montenegro. He graduated in 1996, completed his Master’s degree in 2001 and PhD in 2005, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro. He has been a full professor at the University of Montenegro since 2017. year. He has participated in 14 research and development projects funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, the Montenegrin Ministry of Science, the Canadian Government (DRDC) and the Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts. He is a reviewer for several international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IET Signal Processing, Signal Processing and Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters. 

The scientific and editorial work of Miloš Daković has resulted in more than 80 publications, of which more than half have been published in leading international journals. The areas of scientific and editorial interest of Miloš Daković are: signal processing, weather-frequency analysis, radar and sonar signals, sparse signals and signals on graphs.

 Miloš Daković is a member of the IEEE and the Committee for Information and Communication Technologies of the Crnogorska Academy of Science and Arts. He is co-author of European patent EP3154022A1, A method of compressive sensing-based image filtering and reconstruction, and a device for carrying out said method.  He is the recipient of the 2015 award of the Ministry of Science of Crno gora in the category of pro-analyser-innovator. 

Prof. Daković is a lecturer at the University of Montenegro. He is a mentor on 7 selected Master’s theses, and two Master’s theses are in the application procedure and selected.  He is currently working on three doctoral theses under his supervision.
