We had the pleasure of hosting Yngve Engström, head of the Cooperation Sector at the European union delegation in Montenegro, and Ivana Janković-Mijanović, acting director General of the Directorate for Innovation and Smart Specialization at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation of Montenegro.

During the visit to the Science and technology park of Montenegro, we discussed the key role that the STP plays in developing the innovation ecosystem, supporting startup companies, technology transfer, and implementing smart specialization.

Mr. Engström was also informed about the establishment of the Technology transfer office (TTO), the first of its kind in Montenegro, which serves as a bridge between science and industry with the aim of commercializing research and development.

The delegation also visited one of the most successful startup companies residing at the STP – Uhura Solutions, which uses artificial intelligence for contract analysis and the digital transformation of the financial sector.

The visit further strengthened the dialogue on cooperation among institutions, international partners, and decision-makers with the aim of advancing the development of a competitive, sustainable, and digitally transformed knowledge-based society.
