The Science and technology park of Montenegro had the honor of hosting the ambassador of the State of Israel, H.E. Avivit Bar-Ilan, who shared valuable insights during her visit about the Israeli model of supporting women in innovation – a model that stands as a success story and an inspiration for the entire region.

During her meeting with the STP team, residents, and partners, ambassador Bar-Ilan emphasized the importance of actively involving women in innovation processes and presented the Israeli approach to developing a gender-inclusive ecosystem. Special attention was given to the growing role of women as leaders, researchers, and entrepreneurs in fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and healthcare – sectors that are shaping the future of the global economy.

This approach, which views innovation not only as a technological matter but also as a social and inclusive issue, can serve as a valuable point of reference for Montenegro. Although women in our country are already achieving significant results in science, business, and digital initiatives, additional systemic support – through appropriate policies, resources, and increased visibility – remains crucial for the full realization of their potential.

The Science and technology park of Montenegro recognizes the importance of building a gender-equal innovation environment and is actively working to create a space where women have equal opportunities to develop ideas, build careers, and take on leadership roles. Through strategic partnerships with international institutions, support programs, and the continuous promotion of the role of women in technology and entrepreneurship, the Park aims to empower female leadership and innovative potential. In doing so, it positions itself not only as a key player at the national level but also as part of a broader regional and European network that fosters inclusive innovation.
