On january 20, 2025, a meeting was held at the premises of the Scientific-technological park of Montenegro (STP) between the director of STP, ms. Valentina Radulovi\u0107, the director of the Technology transfer office of Montenegro, Srna Sudar,phd, the dean of the faculty of Metallurgy and technology (MTF) at the University of Montenegro, prof. Irena Nikoli\u0107, phd and the Vice dean for research and International cooperation, prof.Vanja Asanovi\u0107,phd.The goal of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between MTF and STP in areas important for the innovation community of Montenegro. The discussion also focused on the possibility of placing certain laboratory facilities of MTF within the existing infrastructure of STP, which would open new opportunities for joint research, commercialization, and technological development.<\/p>\n\n

\nSpecial attention was given to involving MTF students in STP programs, such as SkillsUp and i4ME, which aim to strengthen entrepreneurial and soft skills. These programs offer an opportunity to gain practical knowledge necessary for the development of modern companies, as well as for the transfer of technologies between the academic and business sectors.

\nOne of the central topics of the discussion was the initiative to establish a laboratory dedicated to researching sustainable materials and green technologies. The focus of the laboratory would be on the development of environmentally friendly materials for construction purposes, including thermal insulation and construction, promoting concepts of green building and energy efficiency. This initiative takes a multidisciplinary approach, involving cooperation with the faculty of Civil engineering and the Institute of public health of Montenegro, with a particular emphasis on the commercialization of laboratory testing services.
