University of Montenegro, as the coordinator, announces the start of the implementation of the MontEDIH project, through which our country becomes a full member of the prestigious network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH).<\/p>\n\n
The implementation of the project started on january 1, 2025, and will last for four years, with a budget of nearly two million euros, 50% of which is funded by the European commission, 45% by the Ministry of education, science, and innovation, and the Ministry of public administration of Montenegro, while the remaining 5% will be co-financed by project partners.<\/p>\n\n
MontEDIH will provide support to small and medium-sized enterprises and the public sector in the areas of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain technology, and high-performance computing (HPC). This support, in addition to the aforementioned, includes financial and business consulting, knowledge and technology transfer, as well as assistance in the implementation of digital solutions, as well as circular and green practices.<\/p>\n\n
The focus of the project is on key sectors of the Montenegrin economy \u2013 tourism, agriculture, energy, retail, and manufacturing, as well as the digitization of public administration. Membership in the EDIH network will enable cooperation with leading European centers, which will provide our institutions and businesses with direct access to the latest European digital innovations and expertise. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n<\/p>\n\n
In addition to the University of Montenegro as the coordinator, the partners in the implementation of this significant project are: the Chamber of commerce of Montenegro, the University of Donja Gorica, the Institute of contemporary technologies of Montenegro, the Innovation and entrepreneurship center Tehnopolis – Nik\u0161i\u0107, the Scientific-technological park of Montenegro, the Center for finance ltd.
