The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro<\/strong> was a hub of creativity on the occasion of Girls\u2019 Day in ICT and STEM<\/strong>, an event that this year brought together 154 girls from 11 primary and secondary schools, exceeding expectations and confirming the growing interest of young people in technology, innovation, and STEM fields.<\/p>\n\n

The event, which we are organizing for the third consecutive year, was opened by\u00a0 prof. An\u0111ela Jak\u0161i\u0107 Stojanovi\u0107, phd, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, who emphasized the importance of institutional support for girls during their education to help them more easily choose careers in science and technology.<\/p>\n\n

During the program, participants, through interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, and idea presentations, had the opportunity to become familiar with the basics of innovative thinking, idea development, and creating solutions for concrete user needs. A special focus was placed on hands-on work using the Value Proposition Canvas, which helped them connect their ideas with real people\u2019s needs and turn them into clear, useful solutions.<\/p>\n\n

Ivana Ognjanovi\u0107, phd, Anika Viloti\u0107, and Mira Lopi\u010di\u0107 Zlokovi\u0107<\/strong> shared their experiences and professional stories with the girls. Through conversation, they brought closer topics such as STEM, 3D design, and the development of new solutions, showing how creativity and an engineering approach naturally complement each other in everyday work.<\/p>\n\n

A particularly interesting part of the program was the Mini Expo \u201cMeet Our Heroines,<\/strong>\u201d where participants had the opportunity to directly talk with women who are contributing to the development of Montenegro\u2019s innovation scene. Representatives of startups and initiatives Peitho, Solutaria, SkillsUP, MyTurn, ZUNO Games, Five Group, and Montenegro Robotics<\/strong> served as mentors, interlocutors, and role models, sharing a glimpse of their daily work and conveying the message that successful ICT projects are accessible and achievable in our own environment as well.<\/p>\n\n

The day concluded with short team presentations, in which the girls demonstrated their creativity and their approach to solving different problems with the help of technology. Their energy, creativity, and innovativeness confirmed that entering the world of innovation primarily requires providing the right environment and support at the right time.<\/p>\n\n

Excellent ideas were also presented by the other teams: ISKRE, WayUP, Idealni Biznis, LOVE4ALL, SAFE WALK, TeamUP, SAFE AI, EVERBOOK, ECO BOX, MAGIC11.<\/p>\n\n

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro<\/strong> will continue working on connecting the education system with the economy through programs that encourage girls and young women to actively engage in the ICT and startup community.
