The workshop \u201cHow to Ask for Funding \u2013 How to Seek Investment for a Startup\u201d was successfully held at the premises of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, organized by STP Montenegro<\/strong> in partnership with YTILI (Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The workshop was attended by startup teams, innovators, researchers, and young entrepreneurs who have business ideas and plan to seek financial support for their further development.<\/p>\n\n

The lecturer, Faris Alami,<\/strong> an international entrepreneur and expert in entrepreneurial ecosystem development and SME support, has worked with entrepreneurs in over 100 countries during his career. He has collaborated with organizations such as the World Bank<\/strong> and the Goldman Sachs<\/strong> program, serving as an advisor on entrepreneurial ecosystem development and business support.<\/p>\n\n

During the workshop, Alami shared his experiences and practical advice to help develop and grow entrepreneurial ventures, while participants had the opportunity to learn how to clearly communicate the value of their ideas, present their vision, and build trust with potential investors.<\/p>\n\n

Special focus was placed on understanding different forms of financing, including startup capital, grants, investments, sponsorships, and other types of support, as well as on how to align one\u2019s business opportunity with the priorities of the institutions, investors, or organizations from which support is being sought.<\/p>\n\n

In a dynamic and interactive session, Alami also explained the most common challenges and misconceptions in the funding process, as well as the reasons why many entrepreneurs hesitate to take the first step and request resources for developing their ideas.<\/p>\n\n

Participants had the opportunity, through discussion with the lecturer, to receive practical advice and guidance for developing their projects and ideas, which was particularly engaging and, we believe, valuable for their future work.<\/p>\n\n
